PCN analysis
Analysing over 20,000 soil samples for PCN each year, the team at Richard Austin Agriculture are experts in this field.
PCN analysis: includes a count of PCN cysts detected per 100g soil and an egg/g count of viable eggs/larvae.
PCN speciation: in addition to PCN quantification, we offer DNA/PCR analysis to determine the species of PCN present; a key factor in utilising tolerate and resistant potato varieties.
GPS soil sampling: is strongly recommended for PCN, due to the sporadic nature of the pest across a field. Sampling is key to accurately detecting PCN levels and we can arrange GPS sampling in many areas of the UK through sub-contracted partners; please contact us for further details of this service.
